Since ancient times roses have symbolised the work of the Divine Consciousness in whatever situation they appear. The intricate and elegant Rose offers a glimpse of a masterful creator’s active presence in creation. As this fragrant flower blooms, its buds gradually open to reveal blossoms with lovely layers, an illustration of how spiritual wisdom unfolds in people’s lives. The strong, sweet scent of a Rose brings to mind the powerful sweetness of love, which is the essence of God and the Goddess, so it’s not surprising that many miracles and encounters with Angels and Mother Mary who represents the aspect of the Goddess in this system have involved roses. Within this system, you are going to find varying traditions and what some of you may find conflicting messages, especially when I refer to Christian teachings alongside those of Wicca and other religions. This manual has been written by someone who doesn’t hold one Religion over another. I strongly believe that all paths lead to the creator and all Spiritual/Religious paths allow us to embrace varying aspects of the divine in our lives. This is why I call myself a Universalist which I hope can be shared among those of you who have been guided to work with this system and the energies it contains.
